Impressive presentations on the results of ROCKET innovation projects
On June 26, 2019, a meeting of all core partners, the Lower Saxony project partners as well as interested trade visitors from research and industry, took place at the location of the company in the Technology Center Varel within the framework of “ROCKET”. The focus of this event was primarily on the results presentation of the 3 innovation projects of crossborder cooperation between Dutch- and the Lower Saxon German companies.
The three innovation projects “ElastoTweezers”, “TriboSurf” and “SuperSurf” find their applications in various fields of technology according to the content-related goal of “ROCKET” for the promotion of key technologies in the areas such as nanotechnology, microsystems technology, micro- and nanoelectronics, innovative materials and materials as well as photonics.
Another highlight was the movie premiere of “ROCKET”. In this way, the participants were impressively and amusingly presented an outline of all 11 project developments and results, before looking at the substantive and funding issues of the upcoming INTERREG VI program.
The program provided all those involved with a tour of one of the most modern training centers for technical job descriptions in the northwest an exciting insight into the extraordinary technical infrastructure in the middle of the “AeroPark Varel / Friesland”.
ROCKET
“ROCKET” stands for RegiOnal Collaboration on Key Enabling Technologies and promotes cross-border cooperation between industry and science in the German-Dutch border area between the North Sea and the Lower Rhine to strengthen research, technological development and innovation. The focus is on key technologies (KET, key enabling technologies) such as nanotechnology, microsystems technology, micro- and nanoelectronics, innovative materials and materials as well as photonics. These form the technological basis for the answers to the global challenges.
