High Tech NL contributes input to parliamentary letter on Semicon Vision 2035
The Dutch semiconductor industry is at a crucial point, with the potential to develop into one of the key global hubs for innovation and technological advancement. Building on the Wennink Report, the desired course for the sector has been further outlined in Semicon Vision 2035.
This publication was presented at NieuwsPoort during the very first SemiconPoort, partly at the initiative of High Tech NL.
The document was submitted to the House of Representatives by Minister Herbert and included in the parliamentary committee debate on the earning capacity of the Netherlands on 9 April 2026.

SemiconPoort

SemiconPoort brought together representatives from politics, government, industry and the Dutch semiconductor ecosystem at NieuwsPoort in The Hague. As a new meeting place for dialogue between policy and practice, the initiative offered an opportunity to discuss the strategic position of the Netherlands in the global semiconductor sector.
During the first edition, participants reflected on the recently published Semicon Vision 2035 and the steps needed to translate its ambitions into action. The meeting underlined the importance of continued public-private collaboration, targeted investment and a strong, connected ecosystem to strengthen the Netherlands’ role in semiconductors towards 2035.
As one of the initiators, High Tech NL contributed to creating a platform where knowledge, perspectives and priorities from across the sector can be brought together. SemiconPoort marks an important step in keeping the conversation between the sector and policymakers active, focused and future-oriented.
