On Thursday, September 16 at 4 pm, the Meet & Greet on Novio Tech Campus was filled with guests for the first High-Tech network meeting of the season. Employees from multiple companies around campus such as Ampleon, NXP and many more were present to listen to the interesting stories of the three speakers.

Micro Precision Calibration kicked off the speeches after Johan Kluitmans, the host of the evening, gave the introduction for the evening. Micro precision has been in Nijmegen for 2 years on Novio Tech Campus. It seems like a small team, but Micro precision has 2000 employees around the world. Some of these were present at the meeting. The company started as a family business in the USA. And now they calibrate and repair a wide range of equipment all over the world. In addition, they are the market leader in the US.

The second speaker of the evening was NTS. The company, which operates around the world with customers such as Philips and others, introduced itself to the High Tech network and told about the state of construction of their new premises on Novio Tech Campus. There was a quick explanation about the other locations and how this comes together in their new Nijmegen location. NTS also spoke about the new developments. For example, the parts that NTS produces are used in an LED Endo Illuminator for eye operations. In April 2020, the new NTS building is ready for use.

Barry Peet from BCSEMI NL announced the Chip Integration Technology Center (CITC) during the third and his last speech as director of BCSEMI NL. From 1 October he will take on the role of general manager CITC. Barry Peet told about the establishment of the CITC and the current work. CITC is an open innovation center in the chip industry. CITC provides solutions by collaborating with universities and companies to speed up the entire process. CITC is currently working with TU Delft and HAN and in the future CITC also wants to collaborate with Radboud University.

CITC started from BCSEMI and Novio Tech Campus. The partners TNO and TU Delf have also made a lot of effort and support in this regard. In addition, the province of Gelderland, the municipality of Nijmegen and Photon Delta have made this project possible through their investments. CITC hopes to become partners of the many High Tech companies around Nijmegen and in this way to accelerate and innovate developments in chip integration.

Attendees closed the evening with a BBQ in the Meet & Greet room on Novio Tech Campus. All guests could enjoy a snack and drink together and new connections were made. In short: a successful evening for the High Tech Network of the Nijmegen region!

Join us on the next High Tech Network Meeting on November 15, 2019 on Novio Tech Campus!
