Netherlands Semiconductor and Integrated Photonics Delegation to New York State

Location
Rochester, Syracuse, Albany, and New York City, United States of America
Date
30-05-2026 untill 05-06-2026

Building on the momentum of last year’s mission to the Netherlands, New York State is pleased to welcome our Dutch partners back to the Empire State. This year’s program moves beyond initial dialogue to focus on implementation across our shared technical priorities. Through targeted workshops with New York’s leading industry, academic, and government partners, this program aims to bridge the gap from concept to concrete action in photonic integration, chip design, and sustainable manufacturing.

Participants will explore opportunities to collaborate on joint research projects, partner for patent development and licensing, and access New York’s federally designated semiconductor Tech Hub’s assets for technology commercialization. Attendees also will engage with anchor ecosystem assets like Global Foundries, Micron, IBM, Corning, NY Creates, and the Supply Chain Activation Network (SCAN)—a core pillar of New York’s Tech Hub—to connect with emerging and established supply chain partners and realize new R&D opportunities.

The program will begin in Rochester and travel across the federally designated Tech Hub Corridor with a stop in Syracuse. The delegation will spend one day in Albany before culminating with a final day in New York City.
– May 31: Delegation arrival in Rochester
– June 1-2: Rochester
– June 3: Travel from Rochester to Albany (with a stop in Syracuse)
– June 4: Albany
– June 5: New York City

Program goal

This delegation will serve to link knowledge clusters in the Netherlands and in New York State to share best practices and facilitate connections related to joint R&D, commercializing technologies, supply chain integration, and workforce development.

Who should attend

Representatives should have knowledge or expertise in the above themes and be able to contribute to meaningful conversations on the future of photonics, microelectronics, and the commercialization of semiconductor R&D.
