Mission | Austria’s Semiconductor Ecosystem and Opportunities around EBSCON 2026
Explore the Austrian high-tech ecosystem

From 7 to 9 October 2026, ChipNL Competence Centre is organising a programme around EBSCON 2026 in Graz. Dutch companies, research organisations and ecosystem partners are warmly invited to explore the Silicon Alps region together.
The programme offers a practical introduction to Austria’s semiconductor and high-tech landscape, with company visits, R&D insights and networking opportunities across the Styria and Carinthia regions.
What can you expect?
You will gain first-hand experience with electronic based systems, microelectronics and related technologies. The focus is on knowledge exchange, best practices and building new connections with industry and research partners. Key topics include smart sensor systems, RFID and wireless IoT, cybersecurity, power electronics, advanced materials, thin-film technology, cleanroom technology and metrology.
Programme overview
On 7 October, the programme kicks off with participation in EBSCON 2026, an international conference held entirely in English. On 8 and 9 October, the programme continues with site visits in Carinthia and Styria, covering robotics, cleanroom technology, semiconductor testing, applied research, electronics prototyping and RFID solutions.
Why join?
For organisations active in semiconductors, microelectronics or related high-tech fields, this is a clear opportunity to learn more about the Austrian ecosystem and explore new European partnerships.
